My name is Bryan Didas and I am a Mechanical Engineer by day, a developer by night and a golfer whenever I can find time. Recently I had been looking for a development project that would hold my interest and allow me to utilize several frameworks, languages and tools through the development of a web application. One day while searching online for golf scoring software and becoming frustrated to find there weren’t any good golf course API's I realized what project I wanted to work on. At first the project started out as strictly a golf scoring site for an individual, a league or tournament; Golfer Stats Network. While mapping out the golf scoring project I found that a good amount of effort would need to be invested in the golf course data portion of the application thus the next idea is born, the Golf World API.
The golf club API project will provide the needed golf course data to the Golfer Stats Network web application and will provide a solid backend to other software and application developers.
